Kudan no Gotoshi - Is this suppose to be comedy?

I started to read this manga, but in the middle, I realized that this manga is already done, complete, only that the English translation is not finished yet. so that is going to take a little while as I think there are around 2 volumes that need to be translated.

The author sure builds up the mystery element, but there are really some scenes that can't be taken seriously.

From Chapter 2:

"Guess I'll Die"

I know it's supposed to be a horror manga but the timing of that clock falling was 100% comedic.


Apparently, it's similar to the final destination, that cow-human like hybrid is following them around and cursing them to death. trying to suicide is unacceptable, and if one tries to kill themselves, the person will simply not die.
